A Research Assistant or Research Fellow (depending on skills and
experience) is sought in the Centre for Transport Research within the
School of Geosciences. You will work with the Centre's Director and
other staff and postgraduate students in transport in developing the
Centre's profile. Specifically, you will work primarily on the EC-Funded
WISETRIP project but you will also be expected to contribute to other
projects within the public transport portfolio. You will also be
responsible for writing research grant applications and
producing/contributing to papers for journals and conferences. You will
be self-motivated and capable of conceptual innovation. As a Research
Fellow you will be expected to hold a PhD in Transport or a related
discipline. As a Research Assistant you will need a good first degree in
a relevant area. The funding for this appointment is available for one
year initially.
