Dear SPM users,



I have been reading SPM emails and searching email lists to understand how to use SPM5 in analysis of vervet monkey brain images (PET and 1.5 T MRI).



First of all, do SPM users believe SPM can be effectively used in analysis of nonhuman images (e.g., monkey brain image)?

If this is true, can someone help me to find a kind of guideline? 

I just don't know where I need to start with.



For example, if I want to normalize monkey brain images, I think I need a vervet brain template as like the MNI template.

How to generate the segmented templates from this average vervet brain image?



Are these too difficult tasks for a person with limited experience in brain image analysis?



Assuming that I have all templates, are there any other specifics that I need to pay attention.



I know that the sizes of image and voxel will be different from those of humans, but I don't know if I need to change something in SPM because of this difference.





Any comment will be very welcomed.
