Dear all, There are still nearly three weeks to go until the deadline for entries to the new Postgraduate Essay Competition (28th February 2008). The aim of the essay competition is to encourage new scholars in the Sociology of Religion. Essays are welcome from postgraduates at all stages of their studies and on any aspect of contemporary religion grounded in a sociological perspective. The winning essay will receive £100, and there will also be an opportunity to publish the winning entry in the Journal of Contemporary Religion http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/titles/13537903.asp> , subject to the journal's normal peer review processes.
