Director of Education

Salary £65k to £70k p.a.

 

The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), led by Professor Janet Hemingway, is an international postgraduate centre of excellence.  LSTM is in a period of exciting expansion and we require an outstanding individual to establish LSTM's position as an international leader in education.

 

Working with academic colleagues and collaborators you will develop a vision for, and actively promote, LSTM's postgraduate training profile.  You will be the driving force in developing our Learning, Teaching and Assessment (LTA) strategy and educational activities.  Responsible for identifying and pursuing new opportunities for expanding LSTM's LTA programme in the UK and overseas you will provide the leadership to research, develop and implement an effective and appropriate curricula.

 

You should have substantial experience of the HE sector together with the ability to manage people and budgets and excellent communication skills.  You will have a PhD or equivalent in a higher education related topic and will be an accredited higher education teacher.
