*Apologies for cross-posting* Project Archivist - Gillespie, Kidd & Coia Archive Salary c £20,458 per annum pro rata Fixed term contract: 10 months 0.5 FTE; Consideration may be given to applicants wishing to undertake the post full-time over 5 months The architectural firm of Gillespie, Kidd and Coia is known for the distinctive character of its post World War II buildings. The archive of this groundbreaking firm was gifted to Glasgow School of Art in 2001 and is now the focus of a Heritage Lottery Funded project, which aims to celebrate the work of the firm and promote access to its archive. The Glasgow School of Art is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated project archivist to continue the appraisal and cataloguing of this archive to international standards using CALM software. The project archivist will also be expected to work closely with other professionals to identify and assist with the conservation of items from the archive. Applicants should be educated to degree level and hold, or be working towards, a recognised post-graduate qualification in archives or equivalent. An interest in architecture/architects papers would be an advantage.
