    In 2001, document management within financial advisory firms was still in its infancy. When Dave Drucker and I began writing our first book, Virtual Office Tools for a High Margin Practice, only a small percentage of early adopter firms had already implemented a document management system at that time, but few firms stored all of their documents digitally.
