A company I work for has a high percentage of agency staff. The complete the pre-employment questionnairre and this is sent or faxed to OH, depending on the level of urgency. If everything is OK on that they are passed fit to work in non-production areas until appropriate baseline health assessment is undertaken. THis usually take 1 or 2days maximum. Managers were appalled when this system was brought in as they were used to deciding on Monday they needed an agency worker in production on Tuesday regardless of the need for health and safety induction or health screening / surveillance. Hence there were cases of employees that had been on site several months before they actually came to the attention of OH. Hope this helps Elle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please remove this footer before replying.
