we're clearly not dealing with an "impressed" head here.

it's a *huge* lump of dough, still in the process of being kneaded --hence the
assistant with the water.

if anything --cross, crucifix, head, whatever-- was going to be impressed on
the dough, it would happen at the last stage before baking.

no, it's either the internment of a legless midget....

or it's a question of a face which miraculously appeared on the dough.

seems to me, anyway.
