A quick glance at James Akerman and Robert Karrow's new book Maps: finding
our place in the world revealed some good examples of cartographic
classics. But I don't think it includes an example which is at least part
map: Minard's outstanding statistical graphic of Napoleon's 1812 march on
Moscow - would this be included in your contribution, Giles?
