Nick, If you have registered with the UK Federation and you want to access DreamSpark using AthensIM, then you should select your own institution from the WAYF, not 'Eduserv Athens'. You should only choose 'Eduserv Athens' if you are using AthensDA or you use classic Athens accounts (ie created through the Administration interface or bulk upload). Thanks for your response Neil. Does the above suggest that we should be able to authenticate now using our AthensIM service (part of OpenAthens as I understand it). I did try using the "Eduserv Athens" entry in Dreamspark's WAYF, but got the Athens error "Your home organisation does not use the Athens to Shibboleth gateway to access this service. Please contact the service provider or home organisation for assistance." Should this work or have I misunderstood? We're working on getting a working Shib 1.3 (or 2.0) instance IdP going for UK Federation membership, but it isn't ready for use yet. It would be good if we could give students access now. Nigel: It isn't looking like Shib 2.0 is going to be ready before July, which is when we were planning to have an IdP ready by. Personally I think we'll stick with 1.3 for our first release, and then have a lovely time converting all the configuration when 2 comes out. Nick
