In summary, the post-holder will provide support and outreach to the growing eScience community on aspects of digital data curation. The post is based at the Digital Curation Centre's headquarters at the University of Edinburgh, but with responsibility for a programme of work led by the Centre's Community Development Team, which is based at UKOLN (University of Bath). The initial contract for this post is for six months. Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as good communications skills, and have a broad knowledge of systems and practices. An understanding of the features and characteristics of eScience is essential. Proficiency in the techniques for digital curation and preservation is desirable, as is experience in managing primary research data.
