Senior Research Fellow - Functional Imaging Methods MRI

The Brain Research Institute (Melbourne, Australia) invites 
applications for the position of Senior Research Fellow - Functional 
Imaging Methods.

The Senior Research Fellow will be responsible for developing 
functional imaging methods, primarily based on Magnetic Resonance 
Imaging (MRI), with specific emphasis on leading the development of 
methods for imaging functional brain networks both in disease and in 
the healthy brain.

Brain Research Institute (BRI), is internationally recognized as a 
centre combining the development and implementation of cutting-edge 
imaging and analysis methodologies with close clinical and 
neuroscientific interactions, permitting the evaluation and 
implementation of new technologies rapidly into clinical use.

BRI has two full-time, research dedicated, 3T MRI systems; a recently 
installed Siemens Tim Trio system and a GE LX Signa system.

BRI is an independent research institute that is affiliated to the 
University of Melbourne, and is an important component of the newly 
formed Florey Neuroscience Institutes (FNI) (together with the 
National Stroke Research Institute and the Howard Florey Institute). 
Some of the major research groups in Australia (and indeed the world) 
in neuroscience are located within the FNI.

Requirements for applicants: A PhD in physics, mathematics or a 
related discipline with appropriate experience in image analysis.
