Dear Colleagues,

We have completed our Naming Convention Policy and followed general rules as recommended by other professionals but upon implementation we have identified a problem in that some file paths are too long for Microsoft to cope with when saving documents into Hyperwave from outside of the system and also on one occasion when setting up a new collection and when attaching documents in Hyperwave to an e-mail (when sending to a non user) . I had recommended not to use acronyms or abbreviations at all but this may be the only way to shorten the file path.

I wondered whether any one else had come across such problems and if anyone could advise of any solutions or problems they have identified when using acronyms.

Regards Michelle

Please think before you print!
