Likewise, there has been no mention of updating our practice to accommodate advances in clinical science and nursing care. Personally I feel it would be quite dangerous to put me in any senior position on a general ward and I suspect I would be better in charge of a mop than a ward full of vulnerable patients! Although we have been told that if pandemic flu evry struck we would be asked to return to frontline - no mention of update in training etc. Brenda -----Original Message----- From: Glenn Raybone [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: 16 January 2008 12:45 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] NHS Staff and ward work Hello Can I ask my NHS colleagues if you've been asked to work on wards during the crisis on beds and to help with staffing levels? If you have been asked, have you accepted or refused? Have you been offered training/updates? Or is this not a global issue affecting OH staff in the NHS? regards Glenn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ _________________________________________________________________ The information contained within this e-mail and in any attachments is confidential and may be privileged.
