Have used pentamadine in a previous life whilst working in acut haematology in Perth West Australia.
From memory, the patient had to be in a single room,no one else present when the nebuliser was administered. After the neb was finished, the room surfaces were wiped down by cleaning staff who wore overalls and a face mask. Cleaners were rotated. There was no specific health surveillance for staff but this was around 1998.
