First aid can be taught by anyone who knows how to teach it in 4 days.  Common sense might not be learned so easily.

Hi Glenn,

Your attitude could be perceived as a bit mean spirited….you will be old one day, or have a child/grandchild that may need first aid, and the only first aider available may be one taught by an employer.

Would you find it acceptable if they refused to treat because they were never taught to treat the young and the old, and had been denied the reference book that might have enabled them to do so because someone wanted to penny-pinch?

Regards, Bob
