Zetoc and the UK Access Management Federation --------------------------------------------- As part of our moves to fully support the UK Access Management Federation, Mimas are to implement a 'tailored' Where_Are_You_From (WAYF) service within Zetoc on 4th February 2008. The Zetoc WAYF will *only* be displayed when the user would currently be shown an Athens or, for AthensDA sites, an Institutional login page. Most access to Zetoc Search is via IP-authentication, which will continue as now. This change will be most evident for Zetoc Alert. The user will need to select their home institution from the pull-down lists, which are grouped for ease of use. Groups are: Universities, Colleges by Region, Research Councils, Republic of Ireland, Miscellaneous Organisations and UK Federation/Shibboleth Test Sites. They will then be routed to their *current* login page. Sites can *preview* the Zetoc WAYF via: Alert http://zetoc.mimas.ac.uk/cgi-bin/wayf?A From the 4th February, the WAYF will be moved to the live service. Mimas welcomes any feedback from the community and would be pleased to work with any sites in testing their Identity Provider installation and in assisting them when going live.
