(With apologies for cross posting) ** Records from the Institute of Education's online catalogue have been added to Copac The Institute of Education has the "largest collection in Europe of learned books and periodicals on educational studies". The library covers all aspects of education both in the UK and internationally. It also covers education-related topics such as psychology, philosophy, sociology and linguistics. The library has special collections (although not all are available on Copac) which are mainly historical but some, such as the Official Publications collection, contain current materials. The catalogue has been loaded as part of the Copac Challenge Fund, an initiative jointly funded by CURL, the RIN and the British Library. Further information can be found on the CURL website (http://www.curl.ac.uk/projects/challengefund.htm) Details of other libraries to be added as part of the initiative are available from the Forthcoming Libraries pages on the Copac website (http://copac.ac.uk/libraries/forthcoming/) ** University of Manchester catalogue load complete Loading of records from the catalogue of the University of Manchester is now complete. As well as being a major academic library, the University of Manchester also incorporates the John Rylands Library Deansgate which "houses one of the most spectacular collections of rare books and manuscripts in the world". ** Book cover images in Copac Copac can now show book cover images for some records held in the Copac database. Cover images are generally only available for relatively recently published materials that also have an ISBN. Because of the wide range of works referenced by Copac this means that we will only be able to display images for a minority of records. Still, we hope that you like them and that you find this feature useful. The cover images are supplied under and agreement with Nielsen BookData which has been funded by CURL.
