Hi Tomas To answer your question for Brunel University's institutional repository: About 52 percent of research deposited onto Brunel University Research Archive (BURA) was done by the researchers themselves. 571 were submitted by us administrators and 623 by the researchers themselves. We currently have 360 academics registered on out system for self-archiving. Therefore it's in the author's best interest to deposit their publications, and as a result we have close to 100% compliance. But I am wondering about the emphasis on mandating deposit. It seems that in our enthusiasm for securing a mandate at our institutions we neglect the other half of these policies; i.e., how is compliance to be monitored, and most importantly, how enforced?
