italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Hello

I am new to the Italian Studies email list. I am a part-time PhD student at Lancaster University, researching Italian neorealist literature.

I am wondering what connections there may be, in terms of influence and shared characteristics, between Fascist memoirs from the 1930s and Resistance memoirs 1945-1948. Of course, much work has been carried out on the link between pre- and post-war cinema and novels, with heated debate as to whether 1945 was really the break with the past that had been hoped for. But I have not found anything specifically on memoirs. I wonder if anyone has any pointers here?

Many thanks
