Engaging Early Years: Galleries, Creativity and The Foundation Phase
11 March 2008, Aberystwyth Arts Centre 10am – 4pm
engage Cymru has been working with several local authorities on exciting pilot research projects within nursery settings to explore what artists and galleries can offer children in the Foundation Phase.
The conference is aimed at those involved in the arts and education sectors in England and Wales. The aim of the conference is to:
* disseminate findings of engage Cymru early years pilot research projects
* share good practice
* explore sustainable development of best practice in working creatively with early years settings and the Foundation Phase
* develop links between arts and education sectors
Speakers include:
* Morfudd Roberts, Foundation Phase Advisor, Children & Safeguards Team, Welsh Assembly
* Fiona Godfrey, Arts Education Consultant
* Deirdre Buckley, Craftspace Touring
The conference will include a mix of presentations and breakout sessions. Price includes copy of bilingual report from research projects, a buffet lunch and refreshments.
