Overview

This day will leave museum staff and teachers brimming with ideas for using
historic events, documents and collections to inspire young people and
engage them with current issues. Hear keynote speaker Sir Keith Ajegbo,
Home Office adviser and former headteacher, discuss his recent report on
citizenship teaching in schools. Bring your own ideas for an active
discussion, take part in practical workshops and find out about case studies
that have helped young people to engage with their communities and involved
them in life-changing campaigns.

Hosted by the Wilberforce Institute of Slavery and Emancipation, set up to
study the work of tireless campaigner William Wilberforce, the day includes
contributions from:

*	The British Library
*	The Citizenship Foundation
*	Campaign! Make an Impact
*	Hull Museums
