BB 6.2.3
I am trying to append information (departmental) to the
Course Name in BB.
We use the snapshot controller to help us with the import creating
the files for run in.
I have modified the database that connects to our MIS that
creates the files to append the departmental codes to course name, this runs
successfully and the out put txt file is as it should be. This will be
used to report on departments / areas on BB usage for stat gathering.
When I run the amended file in either SNPSHT or MANUAL for
the courses, this runs in fine but no departmental data is appended to the
course name.
Upon further investigation I have found that the COURSE_NAME
is BB owned and not SIS, this would explain why nothing is being appended.
My question is where is the config file that stipulates the
ownership of COURSE_NAME so I can change from BB to SIS?
I have looked at the snapshot controller properties and the controller
properties to amend the ownership but have not yet located it.
I have read through the documents that BB global services
supplied, all say that COURSE_NAME is BB owned bu none mention where it can be
changed?
Can anyone direct me in the right place to make the
amendments?
