ROOTS - the rural research conference of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
ROOTS, the RICS rural research conference, is being held on 17-18 March, at Trinity College, Oxford. The programme for the conference can be found at:
ROOTS has become established as a key RICS event for the discussion and debate on the latest research into rural land markets. This year, we have two key-note papers based on RICS-funded research, Michael Winter presenting on shifting perspectives on land tenure, and James Jones on a review of prospects for livestock auctions. ROOTS will also present work by Peter Dent and Sally Sims, on the impact of wind farms on house prices, which is an extension of the earlier work funded by the RICS Education Trust.
The full range of papers here include papers on farmland tenancy, diversification, a global comparison of rural market performance and sustainability issues.
The delegate fee for ROOTS 2008 is £100 + VAT. This includes conference attendance, overnight accommodation on the night of 17 March and all refreshments during the conference, It does not include the conference dinner on 17 March.
