The 2008 conference of the Religious Archives Group will be held at the British Library Conference Centre, Euston Road, London on Monday, 14th April.  The theme of the  Conference is “Sight and Sound in Religious Archives; audio-visual materials - their development, management and use.” The varied programme includes presentations on photographs relating to the Salvation Army, the Black Christian presence in Britain, Welsh missions in India as well as images in the British Library Collections. Other topics are oral archives in the Methodist Church, religious music recordings in the British Library and Scottish Catholic life on film. There will also be a unique opportunity to tour the sound studios in the new British Library Conservation Centre. The Conference fee, including lunch, is £45.
