A visiting Norwegian friend recalls that there is a framed copy on the wall in the mess forward on the starboard side of Fram.  We can check with the Fram Museum when they reopen but we are fairly sure of this.  It would have been put there by Nansen, for whom the ship was built.  He lent her to Amundsen, who is not likely to have had any truck with literature, we think.
