Trevor Have you tried using the Google Books search (particularly using the FULL VIEW) at http://books.google.co.uk/bkshp?tab=wp which should bring up a multitude of 'copyright free' journals of the early 19th Century, available to download in pdf files which may help In general the Google Book search is a very useful and revealing tool!
