We've just been successful in getting £40,000 from the HLF to go through our film footage, conserving and cataloguing it, transfering it to DVD and then taking out a presentation of it to community groups around the county. To do parts of the job we will be recruiting a project worker, who would do the community outreach part of the project and develop the events in the county (rather than technical work). Speaking to the director of the Media Archive for Central England, who we are working with, he said that from experience with similar projects it would suit someone who freelances and that some museums use people like this. We'll be advertising for this, but it was suggested we ask around to find if there are any potential contacts who we could make aware of the opportunity.
