Good tip from Andrew. And I would add that it might be interesting (and healthy?) in the same context also to have a look at Mark Learmonth and Nancy Harding's lead article in _Public administration_ 84.2 (June, 2006) called "Evidence-based management : the very idea" (p.245-266). Perhaps all the more because though he may not be completely oblivious of its existence, Lakos at least doesn't mention it. - Laval Hunsucker U Amsterdam > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: Evidence based practice to librarianship and information science > [mailto:[log in to unmask]]Namens Andrew Booth > Verzonden: dinsdag 4 december 2007 13:42 > Aan: [log in to unmask] > Onderwerp: Interesting article on Evidence Based Library Management > > > You may find the following article interesting - it brings > together the > themes of "Evidence Based" and "Assessment" as already > explored by Jim > Self, Steve Hiller, Pam Ryan to name but a few. > > PORTAL VOL 7; NUMB 4 (2007) pp. 431-450 > Evidence-Based Library Management: The Leadership Challenge > Lakos, A. > http://muse.jhu.edu/journals/portal_libraries_and_the_academy/ > v007/7.4lakos.pdf > > I found it particularly interesting because it comes to > "Evidence Based > Library Management" via "Evidence Based Management" not EBLIP > - almost > as if it is completely oblivious of the existence of the EBL paradigm! >
