The course leader is Dr Paul Duller, Chair of the Records Management Society and Director of Records and Information Management Consultancy with Tribal plc.

 

This one day event provides a clear understanding of the nature, origin and quality of different types of data and the use of quality control, quality assurance and audit procedures to ensure the correctness (or accuracy) of the data. It also demonstrates how these elements can be brought together as the basis of a reliable 8-point Action Plan and data quality strategy. Areas to be covered include:

 

·                     Introduction to data quality

·                     Sources of error and integrity analysis

·                     Tracking and fixing data quality errors

·                     Different approaches to data quality: The quality guru’s

·                     Metadata standards, case histories and new technologies

·                     The 8 point action plan
