Hi Ceri
can you circulate this please, either as part of the newsletter, or as a separate email to everyone on the mailing list (we dont mind which, whatever is easier for you).
cheers
Giles
Dear Colleagues
following initial discussions between a few members of the SIG, the topic of working with child relatives of adults who are survivors of ABI was raised in the recent SIG meeting in Putney. There was lots of interest from the attendees and examples of local ideas and initiatives for this kind of work within brain injury services.
To date, presentations on working with child relatives have been included as part of workshops/conferences on broader family work after ABI. We would like to work towards developing a day workshop devoted entirely to work with child relatives, and bring together theoretical ideas, practical considerations and examples of local initiatives.
If you have an interest in this area, please could you respond to myself, Siobhan Palmer ([log in to unmask]) or Louise Swan ([log in to unmask]) with initial expressions of interest regarding oral or poster presentations or clinical workshops. Alternatively, if you know a local clinician who is involved in this kind of work, please can you pass on or let us know contact details.
many
thanks
