Starting Salary: Grade 8  £34,813 p.a. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team of five staff working across the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in close collaboration with the University's Learning Development Unit. The team has a key role to play in promoting and developing innovative teaching and assessment methods and supporting good pedagogic practice among the Faculty's 350 academic staff. We are particularly keen to continue the development of e-learning and support innovation in the delivery and assessment of the undergraduate curriculum. The post-holder will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of strategic projects across the Faculty and the University at a time of rapid change in learning and teaching at Keele. 

Applicants should have a first degree in the Humanities or Social Sciences or equivalent relevant experience. They should have experience of working in a Further Education (FE) or Higher Education (HE) environment, preferably in a role involving teaching and/or staff development, and be familiar with a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and the use of other e-learning technologies. As a member of a small team working closely with teaching staff, the post-holder will also be expected to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and high levels of IT literacy.
