Ah, I was a 'banker' handing out money & chips to the tables, & hoping, alas, that the players lost a lot, as the casinos 'donate' a part of their receipts to the particular arts association (or all that get a license to participate). So we volunteers get to spend a couple of days in this otherworldly space helping the casino function. Dark, with flashing lights above the machines, & light shining down directly on the tables, no clocks, & an absolute sense of dissociation from the outside world. It doesnt exist once youre inside. Whew: it's over. So the arts bring nothing, but bodies to work. We hope to get something to help us continue our work. Doug On 8-Nov-07, at 12:51 PM, Peter Cudmore wrote: > Wow Doug!
