The COUNTER Executive Committee has overall responsibility for the direction and management of COUNTER. It meets 5-6 times per annum, with most members participating via a telephone conference call facility. Peter Shepherd, the Director responsible for the day-to-day management of COUNTER, is a member of the Executive Committee and reports to it. The Executive Committee includes representatives of the publisher, intermediary, library and library consortium communities.
In replacing Christine Fyfe and David Goodman, the Board of Directors of COUNTER is keen to consider any suitably qualified candidates and encourages nominations to be submitted. In order to maintain an appropriate balance on the Executive Committee we are seeking to appoint two candidates from the academic library community. Candidates should hold a senior position and have a good understanding of the strategic role of usage statistics in the management of library resources.
Nominations, which should be seconded, may be sent by email to Peter Shepherd at [log in to unmask] to arrive no later than
Executive Committee members serve for a term of three years, which is renewable.
