Wow.

A note of caution though, in my experience I've had server outages
about as often through UPS failure as mains failure.

The current practice server has two PSUs, one direct from mains, the
other from the UPS, so if the UPS fails provided it doesn't take the
mains circuit breaker with it, service will continue.

Do we know what the peak current is when a fridge starts up?  UPS'
soemtimes complain about that.

Do you all have your phone switch/exchanges/PABX on a UPS?  We did for
a while, although at present it isn't.
