I have an exercise similar to Richard Grey's:

I use Eisenstein's Battleship Potemkin. My students are surprised by
it because they conceive drawing as the record of static forms, and is
hard for my undergraduate students to focus on process rather than
product. The moving image is "captured time", and drawing can be also
considered under this aspect.
