Hello all, please see the message below from Mikael about Harmony
meetings. The Harmony project and the DCMI / IEEE LTSC joint task force
are both part of the current effort to work towards interoperability
between LOM and DC (and other) metadata. The list and meetings are open,
so take a look at the URLs at the end of the message, and if you're
interested, join in.

Phil.

Hi everyone!

The Harmony project [1] will be holding three open meetings discussing
issues relating to metadata harmonization.

The main purpose of these meetings is to finalize work on a
"manifest" [2] that will also be published as a deliverable in the
ProLEARN project. However, the Harmony project itself will likely
outlive ProLEARN and continue to host regular teleconferences discussing
issues in metadata harmonization.

The first meeting will be held on

Monday 19 Nov at 13:30 GMT

http://flashmeeting.open.ac.uk/fm/ac99d1-10531

The meeting will primarily be concerned with a critical analysis of the
content of the manifest and suggestions for improvements. Comments and
issues can of course be posted before the meeting.

The second meeting on

Monday 03 Dec at 13:30 GMT

http://flashmeeting.open.ac.uk/fm/359257-10532

The third meeting on

Wednesday 19 Dec at 13:30 GMT

http://flashmeeting.open.ac.uk/fm/7b9541-10533

As before, the meetings sill be recorded and the recording made publicly
available.

/Mikael
