Subject: Re: Linking Word
documents within Blackboard
This won't work at all if
the end user is using Firefox, which cannot open Word documents - they will
open in Word, and relative links to other stuff within Blackboard won't work.
It is not encouraged to use Word for creating websites. You could save the file
as webpage from Word to have it function in the browser, but you still have
dependency on the static locations of the link targets, so if you copy the
course, things will break.

Hi
One
of our tutors is trying to put hyperlinks into Word documents to link them
within Blackboard. This seems to work OK as long as the Word documents
open within the Blackboard frame rather than in a separate window.
Does
anyone know whether there is any way of
forcing documents to open with in the main Blackboard
frame
rather than in a separate window or whether there is an easy way to
work around it ?
