WEST YORKSHIRE ARCHIVE SERVICE ARCHIVIST, KIRKLEES (part-time) POST REFERENCE WYJS: 075 Salary Scale 6: £21,415 - £22, 849 pro rata (subject to review) We have a vacancy for a part-time (18.5 hours per week) archivist at our Huddersfield office. The postholder will take part in all aspects of service delivery and will support the Senior Archivist in the running of the office. You will be expected to participate in the professional development of West Yorkshire Archive Service and to maintain a track record of CPD. Kirklees MDC is planning for a new library facility in Huddersfield, which is intended to include archive provision, and the postholder will be expected to assist in the development of services in the new building, as these plans progress, as well as assisting in planning the move of collections. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to the wider professional and cultural agenda and to engage with associated service improvements. The postholder will be required to work a set pattern of hours to accommodate the staffing rota. Initially a pattern of: Tuesdays 12- 3.30 pm, Wednesday full day, Friday full day is proposed. There will also be a requirement for evening or weekend working on a rota.
