We are in the process of drawing up policies and procedures for information management within the County Council. One of the issues which we are considering is the management of version control. While accepting that implementation should be part of an EDRMS system, I would be interested to know if colleagues are aware of any generally-accepted standards for version control and their labelling. I have found a document on the subject issued by the US Government Printing Office, but I wonder if there is anything else which is more widely used in the UK.

Thanks

Jonathan
