As part of their regional workshop programme, Netskills will be running the following workshops at the Nottingham University in November:

1. Interactive e-Learning with CourseBuilder, 6th November

This half-day workshop guides participants through the development of interactive e-learning interactions using the Dreamweaver CourseBuilder e-learning extension.

Topics covered during this workshop include:
Getting started with CourseBuilder
Inserting Interactions and Controls from the CourseBuilder gallery
Controlling and processing interactions with CourseBuilder's Action Manager

2. Web Quests, Treasure Hunts, Hotlists & Subject Samplers, 7th November

Fed up with passive, page turning e-learning? Engage your learners in active, dynamic, enquiry based e-learning by developing realistic problem solving activities that encourage the application of analytical, creative and critical thinking skills.

Topics covered during this workshop include:
What’s the problem? Analysing enquiry based e-learning
Web quests, hot lists, treasure hunts and subject samplers defined
Action planning and Scenario building for enquiry based e-learning
Resource gathering to underpin learning
Tools for rapid development of online enquiry based e-learning

3. Effective e-Learning with Moodle, 8th November
-----------------------------------------------------
The Moodle learning environment is becoming increasingly popular in the UK education sector. It is free to use, having been developed through the Open Software model, and is designed using sound pedagogical principles. This workshop introduces Moodle, its main features and demonstrates why Moodle is different from other learning environments.You will be given access to your own installation of Moodle for 4 weeks after this workshop.

e-Learning pedagogy
Moodle and the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) market
Communication and collaboration tools
Course structures and content development explained
Access to Moodle as an administrator, teacher and student
