This award will be made to an undergraduate, postgraduate or Ph.D. student who has been registered within the last twelve months at a college or university in the United Kingdom. The winning essay will be published by 3DVisA and the author will receive a bursary of up to £300, sponsored by the AHRC ICT Methods Network, to attend a UK conference of his or her choice. The 3DVisA Student Award is also sponsored by Intellect and Prestel publishers: the winner will be able to choose an annual subscription to a journal published by Intellect, and there will be book prizes for the winner and two runners up courtesy of Prestel. The completed essay and application form must be submitted electronically by 15th November 2007. The winner will be announced by 14 December 2007 and the winning essay published in the 3DVisA Bulletin in March 2008.
