Thanks, Doug. My source was pretty funny and deliberately over-emphatic at the same time. I quite consciously extrapolate from the possibilities he extracts from parentheses & brackets [wouldn't be surprised if Acconci invokes phenomenological bracketing as well]. Despite the less thn ideal preservation of my text from its original publication in "Cento", I will link to my other "work" which derives from Acconci's practice in his first book "Double Bubble": http://centomag.org/dorn/alpert Barry On Thu, 18 Oct 2007 09:09:28 -0600, Douglas Barbour <[log in to unmask]> wrote: >I really like the way you exacted more from the opening here Barry, & >that extra dimension to the final line. > >Almost comic at the opening, but then.... > >Doug >On 16-Oct-07, at 12:48 PM, Barry Alpert wrote: > >> RED TAPES >> >> via Vito Acconci >> >> >> REVENGE REVENGE REMORSE REMORSE >> REPRESSION REPRESSION RELIEF RELIEF >> RESISTANCE RESISTANCE >> Everybody, “Long live the revolution!” >> DESPAIR DESPAIR [Don’t you hear it?] >> >> Turn.
