Kate - the Cineteca di Bologna did a series way back entitled 'Il Cinema Ritrovato' that included some films from the silent period. I don't believe they are available any longer, unless they have been re-isssued on DVD which is doubtful. Maybe this is something other colleagues have information on? You could try checking with the cineteca itself, which has a fairly detailed website with contact numbers.
best wishes, Pauline

I am purchasing DVDs of Italian films for a new resource centre which is due to open very soon at Warwick, and I'd be very grateful for any recommendations of websites for buying DVDs, in particular of companies that sell early Italian cinema. The companies I'm currently using include Ermitage, the Internet Bookshop, and Amazon.

Many thanks,
Kate Mitchell
