Cheshire County Council are seeking to appoint:

Historic Environment Officer
Temporary (maternity cover) -  37 hours per week
Grade: 6 (£17,985 - £20,235)
Transport and Regeneration, Backford Hall, Near Chester

Based in the Environment Resources Team, you will be responsible for supporting the work of the Historic Environment team, especially assisting with the Historic Environment Record and responding to enquiries. You will support development control casework and be involved in project work and outreach activities.

You will report to the Historic Environment Record Officer. Ideally, you should have a degree in archaeology or a related subject and at least one year post-qualification experience in Historic Environment Record related work, as well as knowledge of historic environment heritage of all periods.

This is a temporary post to provide maternity cover for approximately six to nine months.
This post is appointed on a generic Career Development Scheme, which covers grades 4 to 10, however we are seeking to appoint at a Grade 6 level (£17,985 - £20, 235).
