SUNY-Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, USA for a new Masters in
Public
Health degree program - one for an epidemiologist and one for a

Assistant/Associate Professor in Biostatistics

A 12-month tenure-track faculty position at SUNY Upstate Medical
University
in Syracuse, NY with a joint appointment at Syracuse University.
Responsibilities include the development and teaching of four courses in a
newly-established MPH program.  The courses to be taught are: 
Introduction
to Biostatistics, Advanced Research Methods, and two additional courses
related to the applicant*s strengths and background. Additional
responsibilities include teaching participation in other university
courses.
 The candidate will also advise and mentor MPH students. Secondary
responsibilities include participation in collaborative research in an
area
of interest to the candidate.
The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in biostatistics or
related field with, preferably, 2 or more years biostatistics experience
in
an academic environment.  Demonstrated excellence in teaching, experience
in
team collaboration, a record of external research funding and scientific
publication, and strong interpersonal and communication skills are
essential.
