Are you a qualified archivist who enjoys working directly with the public?
We are looking for a person to work in each Record Office team to help deliver and promote an excellent public service. Problem solving, negotiating skills and being able to manage a varied workload are essential.
You will have:

·  a degree and professional archive qualification

·  experience of providing the public with information and a positive attitude to public service

·  excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

·  an excellent knowledge of archive and local history sources

·  an awareness of the importance of security

·  working knowledge of surveying, accessioning, cataloguing, indexing, storing and preserving archives

·  computer literacy and an ability to learn new IT systems quickly and accurately
