Dear All, At Flintshire Record Office we've been approached by our Youth Justice Service with the suggestion that we work together to produce an introduction to and basic programme of work in local and/or family history for their young offenders. The idea is to get them reconnected with study and working on various skills such as research and use of the internet, with some sort of certificate at the end of it to show what they've achieved. The major achievement from our point of view, I think, will be to engage their interest in the introductory session so that they'll have the enthusiasm to do the work! I'd be very grateful to hear from anyone else who's done something similar and would be willing to share ideas, warnings, &c. Many thanks.
