			Research Seminar Series: Inclusive Policy and Practice
			
			The Higher Education Academy would like to invite UK Higher Education institutions to take part in a new research seminar series launched by the Disability Equality Partnership.
			
			We are inviting eight institutions to host and deliver a seminar on inclusive policy and practice during 2007-8.  A grant of up to £400 per seminar is offered. 
			
			Focus 
			Each seminar will focus on research about inclusive teaching and learning policy and practices for disabled students.  
			 
			Aims
			This research seminar series aims to facilitate the dissemination of research findings and provide a forum for discussing and sharing research methods and findings.    
			 
			Timing
			The date and time of the seminars will be organised by the host institutions, but should take place at some point during the first week of each month between December 2007 and July 2008.  Each seminar will last between 1 and 3 hours.  
			
			Hosting a seminar
			To take part in the series, please email: [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>  by November 15 2007, providing the following information:
			a.     Name, email and telephone number of a key contact (provided to liaise with the Academy regarding seminar arrangements); 
			b.    Name of host institution; 
			c.    1st and 2nd month preference; 
			d.    Title and name of any presenter(s); 
			e.    Proposed title of the seminar; 
			f.     Brief details of the research to be presented; 
			g.    Detail of the accessibility considerations you intend to make; 
			h.    Costs (Amount requested with simple breakdown of costs);
			I.     Name of venue (if known);
			j.     Time of seminar (if known).
