Hi,
I can echo what Lynda has said, I also found your toolkit valuable and
incorporated some of your ideas in putting together a guide here. Of
particular value was the way you recognised that many may read this on
the screen and the tips for navigation therefore are very useful.

I have attached a document which may be of some interest in capturing
the essence of EIA...

Hello Alexandra, we've used the Portsmouth model as a basis for our
toolkit. We haven't had to adapt it very much at all (we found it very
useful indeed, very comprehensive) though we're still in the early
stages of using it, rolling out our training currently. Am happy to
answer any further direct questions you have offline if that helps.
Best regards, Lyn

Subject: EIA - the Portsmouth Model

Dear colleagues

I am writing an article on our experience of Equality Impact
Assessment
and the Portsmouth Model we have developed.

I know that when I shared our EIA Handbook with the list many of you
expressed interest in using it to inform your own development of a
process. It would be really helpful if you could let me know whether
you
have used the Portsmouth Model and if so whether you made significant
changes to it or found it was possible to use it with only minor
amendments.

I want to be able to include in the article that the model has proved
useful to others (if it has!)

Regards

Alex
